Personally

I feel I should explain myself.

I've read various blogs for years. Mostly fashion, faith, and food. Yes, in that order-honesty is key, right? I haven't felt that I fit in enough to the roles to start a blog. I finally decided that I don't mind.

I am passionately and gratefully Roman Catholic, and I enjoy fashion, literature, opposing viewpoints, and espresso.

As for the title? It is a terrible mash-up of languages, I know, but it has symbolic significance.

Thanks to this disk, I was able, for the first time, to be truly humbled. It was a small, but beautiful moment. In a medium where I could easily forget that humility, it serves as a reminder of the call that I may freely choose. According to the aforementioned disk, St. Philomena's crypt actually said "fi" and "lumena", meaning Daughter of Light. I went with the actual inscription, and the flowers were simply a pretty touch. It certainly isn't a scholarly explanation, but it is my explanation.
